Marker Row

I-Cord · Lesson 2 of 2

There are times when you will be picking up stitches in the knitting below the current row. It's helpful to create a marking row for accuracy.
Marker Rows are most easily created with Slip Stitch. With this machine, marker rows are created in a similar way to I-cord.

  1. Carriage on the right
  2. Pull every other needle to "C" or "D" position
  3. Set the Cam lever to S-J
  4. Hold the LEFT Side Lever
  5. Knit Left
  6. The needles in "B" position will not knit, forming small floats as a marker row

3 ways to knit marker rows

NOTE: On this machine, hold the side lever to form slipped stitches over needles in "B" position
